Watch ‘Angry’ Virat Kohli Argues With Umpire As Controversial LBW Call Goes Against Siraj & RCB

In the high-voltage ongoing clash between Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Delhi Capitals, a controversial moment grabbed the limelight when ex-captain Virat Kohli argued with the on-field umpire after a touch and go LBW call went in the visitors’ favour.

The incident occurred during the second over of DC's innings when they had just lost opener David Warner off Swapnil Singh's bowling.

Bowling his first ball of the day, Mohammed Siraj surprised DC’s in-form batter Abhishek Porel with a magnificent yorker that seemed to have struck the southpaw on his toes.

However, as it looked close in real time, the Royal Challengers went upstairs to challenge the on-field call.

After seeing the replay from multiple angles, the TV umpire asked his on-field colleague to stay with his original decision.

However, the call didn’t go well with Kohli and Faf du Plessis, who demanded an explanation from the umpire in the heat of the moment.

Nevertheless, Porel couldn’t capitalise on the opportunity, losing his wicket to Yash Dayal in the third over.

Chasing 188, the Capitals were reeling at 28 for three in 2.4 overs as of writing, with Porel, Warner and Jake Fraser-McGurk back in the dugout.
